Sara Pitcher sits on the balcony of her co-op apartment on Woodlawn Avenue and 61st Street with University of Chicago construction dominating her view to the north. Pitcher is the last original resident of these apartments rehabbed and co-founded by her late husband, Rev. Al. Pitcher, and the Covenant Community of University Church 40 years ago.
